I grew up in the Washington, DC area but always dreamed of living in a smaller, rural town. After college, I began working in the financial services industry, met and married my first husband, and moved to Alaska to experience the Last Frontier! We had three children, and I truly felt like a Pioneer Woman - baking my own bread, making homemade jams and jellies, fishing, and owning a truck (nobody in DC did those things!). Along the way decided to get my real estate license to buy income-producing properties. Life the threw a curveball in the form of a divorce, so I chose to start selling real estate--and what a journey it's been! Now, 16 years into my real estate career, I still love sitting at the table with clients, talking about their dreams of homeownership. I truly feel like I make a difference in people's lives, and I love that. My second husband and I have been married for seven years, and we have a blended family of 12 children and nine grandchildren (including a cute set of twin boys!) I enjoy weight training and spending as much time outdoors as possible (especially it's sunny and warm). I also love to travel, with highlights including an amazing recent trip to Israel, discovering my husband's roots in Holland, and this year looking forward to a wedding in Columbia and a trip to Armenia (where my oldest daughter and her husband live). I love God, and I love people! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working on my cabin, and spending time with my family. My favorite places to travel are anywhere tropical-I love the sunshine! This year, I'll be celebrating 36 years of marriage right after Christmas. I'm also a proud mom of two sets of twin boys, just two years apart, and a total of six children. I've cherished my years in motherhood before starting my career in real estate. I was inspired to pursue real estate after many difficult experiences buying and selling homes during our military transfers. I often said, "I could do better." When we bought our home with Ed Erickson, he offered me the opportunity to work with him once I earned my license-and I've never looked back. I proudly serve clients throughout Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer, Wasilla, Houston, Meadow Lakes, Big Lake, and everywhere in between.
